BIOGRAPHY
Based in London and Kent, ‘Abnormally Funky’ featuring the lovely vocals of Emily Peasgood, are a young professional function band specializing in Soul, Funk, Disco, Pop and Motown Classics.
They provide high quality live music to accompany your Wedding, Party, or Corporate Event, ‘Abnormally Funky’ are enhanced with their quality sound and lighting rig and can be booked as a 5 piece or an 8 piece band.
They are all graduates of the Royal Academy of Music and the Guildhall School of Music and collectively perform with a wide range of musicians including, Jamie Cullum, Johnny Dankworth, Cleo Lane, Limp Biscuit, Chakka Khan, Ola Onable, Mike Garrick Big Band, The Heritage Orchestra, The London Jazz Orchestra and the National Youth Jazz.
A totally professional band who adapt themselves to every venue and clientele, with ‘seriously good’ dance music. A Band to get every generation on the floor, from smooth soulful numbers to hip funk, jazz and upbeat sing-along Motown classics.
Acústica – A Lighter Alternative
To offer an alternative sound for all clients needs they can also perform a vast selection of songs from their Jazz, Latin and Soul repertoire as acoustic band 'Acústica'.
Comprising of Vocals, Piano / Keys, Double Bass and Drums, Acústica fit perfectly into any musical situation from jazz clubs, festivals and other live music venues to music in restaurants, bars. Acústica can play at weddings, parties and other private functions. Whether you require background music or something to keep the crowd on the dance floor (or a combination of both), Acústica can tailor its set to suit any event.
Acústica can be hired alongside Abnormally Funky for a short set 30 minute-1 hour set at a reduced price to offer a lighter start to your evening.
