Singer and Multi Instrumantalist Entertainer
Gordon Cree is a musician whose multi-talents have kept him in consistent and continuing demand in many, very different areas of the world of music, from the world's great opera houses and concert platforms to Scotland's favourite variety theatres and music halls.
As a classical accompanist he has done work with some top names in the classical field including Marilyn Hill-Smith, Maureen Brathwaite, Justine Watts, David Fanshawe, Cheryl Forbes at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden and - the highlight of his career to date - with Marilyn Horne in New York City.
In theatre and broadcast he has been musical director for countless shows, including eleven seasons at the Gaiety, regularly accompanying artistes like Moira Anderson, Jimmy Logan, Jack Milroy, Lena Martell, Alan Stewart, Peter Morrison.
As a conductor, arranger and orchestrator he has been involved with orchestras such as The BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, The Royal Scottish National Orchestra, The BBC Concert Orchestra, The Scottish Festival Orchestra, The Edinburgh Light Orchestra and under his own name with The Gordon Cree Concert Orchestra and the Gordon Cree Strings.
He is also a very busy singer and entertainer in his own right, appearing frequently in concert, recital, oratorio and concert-versions of opera, while his stage act of singing, comedy and various musical instruments is regularly seen in theatres throughout the UK and aboard the world's leading luxury cruise liners.
