Joanne Shields started her career as a dancer, having trained in all the theatre arts from the age of three. Her work has included West End productions, cabaret, pantomime, summer shows, corporate events and television.
After six years of treading the boards as a dancer she decided to concentrate on her singing career, and has developed a versatile & much sought after cabaret act. Because of this versatility she has material that would suit a variety of audiences and venues a sample of which include Cruising for P&O on board: Canberra, Oriana, Victoria. Arcadia & Aurora as a member of their Stadium Theatre Company, & also performing in cabaret. Including Canberra's final cruise with Tom O'Connor & Gerrard Kenny.
Other ships Joanne has performed in cabaret include, Ocean Majesty, Sunbird & Black Watch, Black Prince & Braemar.
Topping the bill at the five star casinos in Funchal, Madeira & the Algarve.
The Talk of London Caladonia Club, in Londons West End Tours of the Falkland Islands, Germany, Northern Ireland Belize & Bosnia, entertaining British & United Nations forces on duty in these regions.
Supporting such artists as Jim Davidson, Bob Monkhouse & Mike Reid at Lakeside Country Club. As well as countless other theatre and cabaret venues throughout the British Isles.
From the the fund of material built up through her career, Joanne has developed a cabaret act that will suit all tastes and age groups including, a tribute show dedicated to two of her personal favourite performers Judy Garland & Liza Minnelli & the "Great American Song Book" a very popular self penned production.
Joanne Shields has also appeared in concerts and musical revues at The Barbican Theatre, The Royal Festival Hall and Chichester Festival Theatre, for Raymond Gubbay.
